Psalm 121:7-8 reminds us, “The Lord will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” By entrusting our safety to God, we acknowledge His sovereignty and care over every aspect of our existence.
How to Pray for Protection
- Acknowledge God’s Power: Begin by recognizing God’s authority and ability to protect. Acknowledge that He is your refuge and fortress. Prayer: “Heavenly Father, I come to You acknowledging that You are my protector. You are my refuge and fortress, my God in whom I trust. Amen.”
- Request Specific Protection: Pray for specific areas where you need God’s protection, whether it’s over your health, family, business, or daily activities. Prayer: “Lord, I ask for Your protection over my health, my family, and my business. Guard us from any harm or danger, seen and unseen. Surround us with Your angels and keep us safe. Amen.”
- Trust in His Promises: End by reaffirming your trust in God’s promises of protection found in His Word. Prayer: “Father, I trust in Your promise to watch over my coming and going both now and forevermore. I rest in Your unfailing protection and care. Amen.”
